Results - Templar Park - 24th November 2015

This was the November Trophy Game and we had 14 players teeing off at around 8:00am on a beautiful morning. The course was wet making the going even tougher than normal on this course. Greens were good but very tricky on a number of holes making putting in regulation difficult.

This course always seems to play long, and as Paul Geddes found out on the 15th hole it must be noted that distances on all the Par 4's and Par 5's are measured to the front of the green so you need to add on the depth of the green to the flag. As expected scores were high and Stableford points low.

After the game we had a lunch at the Tang Dynasty Restaurant. We waited a rather long time for the food and managed to consume about 22 bottles of beer over the course of the lunch making it a fairly expensive one. Thanks to Bernard for his RM50 winnings which went into the lunch pot.

Results - KGSAAS - 17th November 2015

We had 14 Cannons at KGSAAS this morning ..... and one Cannon at Nilai Springs! Just as Allan was starting to register at 7:30am he received a call from Jeff Pearce wondering why no-one was at Nilai Springs .... guess he missed the 2 or 3 e-mails that we all received with the change of venue. He managed to catch up the last flight and join the game by the end of Hole No 3.

After quoting the usual Senior Rate on booking the club also informed Allan that the Senior rate was only applicable on Thursdays and Fridays making it a little bit more expensive.

The course was wet and soggy in many places and like me I'm sure many players had problems with lost, plugged balls in the fairway. I also experience a flight on another hole playing my ball leaving a poxy Titleist in my fairway by means of a fair swap!

The weather was good and actually cleared up by the back ( with beautiful clear blue skies which made a change after the many months of haze.Apart from the wet fairways in many places the greens were quite good and deceptively fast in places. The tee boxes were rather shoddy and in need of attention.
