Cannons
all.
19 LC's
assembled at TP as the heavens opened forcing a 45-minute delay. Play got
underway under a grey sky with light rain still falling but this had
cleared by mid way through the front 9 and thereafter it was fine weather. We
played the Puteri & Tasik 9’s, which were in fair condition. The Puteri
greens had been recently scarified and were consequently a little slow but the
Tasik greens were good and fairly quick.
Yours
truly was the winner with 39 points (corrected from 38 due to scoring against
an incorrect handicap) and the R/U with 36 points was Ted Parslow. The lowest gross
was 83 by Ted and the most golf was played by Alan Holgate with 121. I am cut 4
strokes and Ted 1 stroke. The full results and your adjusted handicaps can be found
on the attachment.
M&M
was taken at the ever-reliable Equatorial Restoran where 15 of us enjoyed some
excellent grub washed down with numerous cold ones. The 4 that didn't make it
missed out not only on a first class lunch but also on the generosity of Raymond
Keys who, having reached 60 the day we returned from Batam, decided to postpone
celebrations till yesterday and picked up the entire bill. Thank you and
Happy Birthday Raymond.
Consequently there was a carry over of RM337 to the kitty,
which now stands at RM1042. Some suggestions have been received as to what use
to put this to and these will be borne in mind.
During
the lunch it was agreed that Loose Cannons should have an official Shirt.
Following yesterdays flier 26 LC's have already placed orders and an order will
be placed with Pin High soon and the shirts should be available about 3 weeks
later. I will keep you posted.
