Results - Amverton Cove - 24th June 2014

Report

It was a hazy day for the Trophy Game at Amverton Cove this week with 15 Loose Cannons turning up to play. We teed off sharp 8:00am from 2 tee boxes and we all completed the round by 12:00pm - so no real holdups at all today. The course was in good shape apart from some obvious bare patches next to the fairway which should be attended to ... and the fairways although good are in need of some rain soon. The greens were in good shape and running fairly true.

Results

There were some good scores posted today but the clear winner today posting a gross 72 with 41 points was Jason Winter - well done Jason on a great scratch round! Second was Geoff McLaws with a gross 77 and 39 points and a worthy mention for Peter Davies, who has seen improved performance over the last few weeks doing in 3rd position with 98 for 37 points. Results - KGSAAS - 10th June 2014

Report

We had 6 flights on Tuesday for the game at KGSAAS, playing the President nine and Sultan nine, off 2 tee boxes. Despite some confusion at the start we all managed to get away on time. The weather was fine at the start, however half way round there was a heavy thunder storm. Fortunately it was short lived and did not hold up play to any extent. Winner on the day was Geoff McLaws with an excellent 76 for 40 points. Geoff also had the lowest gross. As usual, when playing KGSAAS we had lunch at the club.

Mike Nairn and Martin Walsh, will both be away for few months, hope to see you back playing with us very soon.

Results - Tasik Puteri - 3rd June 2014

Report

We had 5 flights today for the game at Tasik Puteri. The course was in excellent condition and the weather overcast, so not too hot. Luckily, the Tasik nine was not open, so we played the Puteri and Putera nine.

Winner, (on count back)  was Ted Parslow, with a gross 78 for 40 points. Ted also had the lowest gross. We headed post golf for lunch to the Chinese restaurant at Rawang. The food was ordered by Andrew and as usual was excellent.

We all welcomed back Mike Smith, who returned to Loose Cannons after a long absence. Mike also paid for all the drinks, so once again thanks from all.

It is hoped that we will be playing at KGSAAS next Tuesday and I will send out an email as soon as I have more details.
