It was a very cool and overcast day at Bukit Tinggi making it a very pleasant morning's golf .... it was almost bordering on the cold side dare I say! 17 players in 5 flights headed out from staggered tee boxes and most made it round by 12:30pm or so. It stayed overcast and cool for the whole morning and in fact during our last few holes we had some drizzly rain.

Welcome to a new player this week - Charles Blanchet introduced by Roger Surieux and also a welcome to Tony's guest Iain visiting from UK. A big welcome back to Glen returning to Loose Cannons after a lengthy period off convalescing from his appendicitis op.

The course was unfortunately looking somewhat untidy and unkempt and the greens a bit bumpy so is really in need of some attention. They seem to be digging up and clearing many areas next to the course which makes it look unsightly.

After the game we headed back down the hill to Kampong Bukit Tinggi and Restoran 126 for some lunch and beers kindly sponsored by Allan McNicoll who was celebrating his 100th game with Cannons.

The winner today was Stuart Taylor with 39 points (and best gross of 83) with runner up Tony Morris on 38 points (89 gross). Full results below:

Next Game - Berjaya Hills - 12th August 2014

Next week we will play at Berjaya Hills and I have booked tee times starting at 8:00am - so let’s meet at the club by 7:30 latest for registration.

Cost will be RM120 per player (if over 60 then you will pay Senior Rate which is only RM100).  TP Books can be used and cost will be RM90

Caddies available at RM55 each - players to arrange if they need or wish a caddy

Lunch after the game will be at Restoran 126 at the small village at the bottom of the hill.

Excellent weather yet again, this time at Berjaya Hills. Everyone enjoyed this very picturesque course, although the conditions were challenging, with a lot of run and a sadistic green keeper, looking at some of the pin positions...!! We got the benefits of the fax booking with the starter

giving us 4 tee boxes, for the 6 full flights, and apart from a rogue Korean pair, we all started on time.

The winner was Stuart Taylor with 85 for 40 points. In second place was Andre Holm with a 91 for 39 points. Full results attached. Please note on the score sheet there is now a cross check column for the stableford points. Hopefully by highlighting the small errors, will make sure we all check our scores before the cards are submitted. Incidentally I always check the first 2 place scores before

announcing the results..!

An excellent good value Lunch was had by most "down the hill at 126" as usual.
