Results - Bukit Unggul - 22nd December 2015

14 golfers wearing their Xmas hats and some smiles (pics attached) started a little late as a result of a bad accident on the highway, which delayed several players. Weather was excellent , course played well . The course was busy, which caused a slow back 9.

The winner, with an excellent 81 for 45 points was Tony Morris.  Well done. Bernard Rohman also had a 81 but for 40 points. Bernard scored 36 gross on the front 9. ....wheels "juddered" on the back. Full results below:

Tony kindly donated his winnings into the pot-- Must be Xmas.. !!   Ray put in some vouchers and a cheap lunch and beers was enjoyed by those that stayed.

Report - Bukit Unggul - 15th September 2015

After a last minute drop out we started with the "17". Thank goodness only very light haze. But after 5 holes the heavens opened, and as is becoming customary lately , we stopped for the rain...this time for only  about 30 minutes.  Once the storm went through conditions became pleasant. Unfortunately 2 players decided to stop at the rain break.

Several greens had been tined and sanded , which effected the putting. Scores generally were quite good.

An enjoyable somewhat liquid lunch was enjoyed by the 12 players who stayed. Thank you to Peter May who donated 3 jugs , as a parting donation, as he may well be away for a couple of months and Ray, 2 jugs, for passing the 350 games played mark.

Results - Bukit Unggul - 11th August 2015

There were only 10 of us today at Bukit Unggul. After a short wait to start as they had all flights starting on Hole No 10 today we were soon underway and were not duly held up after this. Weather was great and the course was in good shape even with recently sanded greens. After the game we took lunch at the clubhouse and again sadly let down by the quality of the food and the slow and poor service ...... some things never change.

The winner today with an excellent 40 points was Glenn Wombwell and runner up was Stuart Taylor with 39 points and the best gross of the day of 81. Full results below :

Results - Bukit Unggul - 21st April 2015

Report

Great turnout today with 24 players (6 full flights) at Bukit Unggul. The course has been worked on over the last few months and the greens are now good again, although unfortunately had just been sanded making it a little bit more unpredictable. The fairways were generally ok although wild boar action was evident on many of their favourite spots. The bunkers however need some serious attention and are still the same as before - ragged around the edges and with drainage problems. Thye have been making some efforts to tidy up the course and there was a fair bit of tree felling ongoing.

Weather was good and by the second 9 became hot and rather humid. We made good time around the course finishing by 12 noon. Lunch was taken at the club with beers sponsored by the club and Ray Funnell - many thanks. We managed a modest 19 jugs.

Results

Erol Akinci was the clear winner today with a magnificent round of 85 to give him 44 points. Runner up was John Laidley with 41 points and the best gross of the day of 77. Of note John actually shot his age today - congrats! Full results below.
